What you license

Sets what every new gallery starts as. You can change any single gallery afterwards.

A film-only gallery shows no photo grid at all, so a videographer never sends a client an empty one.

Your market

Where you mostly shoot. Every quote starts from this; you can change it on any single quote in the pricing drawer.

Budgets differ by market. Major metro prices at 1.2x the standard rate and smaller markets at 0.85x. The property tier still prices the property itself; this prices what the trades around it pay.

A new property

Whether a property you have just added goes looking for the people who worked on it, without being asked.

An address with nobody on it earns nothing, so searching it is the default. One search runs about eight web searches and comes off the day's search allowance, which is a different meter from your monthly contact look-ups. Turn this off and a new property waits instead, with a Find who worked on it button sitting on its card until you press it.

Plan

Your subscription and the share Resid keeps per license.

Payments

Collect license payments and receive payouts.

Email sending

Connect Gmail so gallery links, outreach, and license delivery all send from your own inbox, and replies land with you. Optional; without it you copy and paste.

Email signature

Added to every email sent from your connected Gmail. Resid's own mailer cannot carry it, so a delivery sent before you connect Gmail goes out signed with your name only.

Paste straight from Gmail. Formatting, logo, and links are kept. Shown on white, the way it lands in your client's inbox.

Appearance

Light is Resid as designed. Dark is the same paper and ink, turned over. System follows your device.

Sightings

Your work, found in use. Log it, price it, get it licensed.

Find who to license to
Resid searches for everyone who worked on this property, from the builder to the brands on site (Marvin, Sub-Zero). Each one is a licensing partner.
Contractors you know worked here
Even a partial name helps. Nothing to submit, it all feeds Research.
Products on site every brand you spotted is a buyer
Appliance, fixture, and lighting brands license real installs of their products for their own marketing, and almost no photographer bills them.

Gallery
Host the property's photos here and send one link. Clients select what they want, and that set comes back to you ready to price and license.

Galleries

Every property gallery, its viewers, and their selections.

Finding the people who worked on this property…
Roster
Add a contact directlyKnow who worked here? Add them. Without an email, Resid looks for one.
Customize per companyoptional
A cover with the buyer's own logo over your work makes the pitch feel made for them. Optional; one plain cover works just as well.
Make a logo'd cover → Each branded cover is its own link: under Gallery on the property, press + Company gallery, add the photos, set the cover, and send that company theirs. Best saved for the prospects you most want to win.
Draft outreach

A warm note that makes it easy for them to license the images they are already using. Never accusatory.

Prefilled from this property. Override with a company-specific link if you have one.

Paste their reply and Resid drafts a confident response in your voice, on the same terms. Copy it into your Gmail reply so it stays in the thread.

Shoots

Invite the partners on a project (builder, designer, architect, brands) to license the shoot before it happens. Splitting the cost makes each license cheaper for them, and every partner who signs on is another license sold on the same shoot for you.

New shoot

Draft. Not collecting yet.

Shoot details
Optional. Link a property (or add a new one) to reuse its research and pull in its address. Or skip it and just enter an address below.
Partners pay nothing at commit. Their license is invoiced with the finished files after the shoot. Their invite and commit page say so.
Partners
Funding goal optional
Leave it blank to just collect commitments as your partners come in. Set a goal and the shoot is funded once committed shares reach it.
